Here's one way to get the most out of your tires!
Right before you go in to get the new "special order" tires that you waited 2 weeks for....
Find a nice quiet place down the road a bit.
Give your buddy your digi-cam and let your natural instincts do the rest!

Here are four runs in the order that they took place - please note the stang was pretty well stock and still had the stock rear gears and tranny. Visit the Movies section for a more current burnout.

The first run was one of the best! Guess the tires still had a little tread when we started.
As you could tell from the picture on the previous page,
the slanted road made it a little tough to keep the rear-end in the rear!
The brake has already been let up and I'm off!!!

The second run was a little disappointing....
It was pretty well a rolling burn as I was trying to keep it straight on the road.
It never did get much smoke going, but check out the wild sideways marks from the first run on the road!

Run three was to make up for the second run! It started a bit slow too,
butonce it settled in on the road it shifted and as the RPMs climbed back up then the show was on.....
Interesting side note:
With the windows down the smoke seems to get sucked up through the glove box.

Okay, last run before the tire change!
The old "Super Star" tires were pretty warm after the third run.
One more rolling burn needed to be attempted...
This was another pretty fast run. Just like the rest, the rear-end kicked out.
But, she straightened up and left a good matched pair of 35-40 footers.
